Who We Are
Summit Outdoor Adventures started as a guiding operation in 2008. The gear shop came later, when the gap between what clients needed and what they could get locally started costing trips before they'd even started.
How We Operate
We're a small team of climbers, hikers, and ski mountaineers. Most of us have been guiding or working in the outdoor industry for over a decade. The shop doesn't have buying targets — if it's not something we'd carry ourselves, it doesn't go on the shelf.
Questions About Summit
Are you affiliated with any outdoor brands?
No. We don't take brand partnerships, co-op advertising money, or margin incentives. Our range is built entirely on what we've used and trust.
Do you offer guiding alongside retail?
Yes. Our guiding programme runs from spring to autumn and covers day hikes, multi-day routes, and technical alpine ascents. Gear shop customers get priority booking.
Can I get a gear consultation without buying anything?
Absolutely. Come in, tell us what you're planning, and we'll give you an honest assessment of what you need — and what you don't.
Do you run group trips?
We organise group trips several times a year. Check the community events section for upcoming dates, or contact us if you have a group that wants something specific.
